The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) -Â
Museum of Natural History and Archaeology
Â
The NTNU Â Museum of Natural History and Archaeology has legal regional responsibilities within Cultural Heritage Management in Norway, with experience and knowledge from research involving landscape usage and the application of ground based remote sensing techniques. The museum carries out all archaeological excavations in the central part of Norway, and is involved in several national and international research projects.
Â
The application of the ground based remote sensing techniques can still be considered to be a relatively new introduction to Norwegian Cultural Heritage Management. Participation in the ArchaeLandscapes project will help disseminate results and is a forum for learning by the exchange of experiences within a broader European network - improving the overall standard of practice.
