Once aerial photographs have been taken they need to be stored if other people are going to be able to use them. For this, we have aerial archives, or libraries, which contain not only the photographs, but also the records that help identify the places in the photos and other information such as the identity of the photographer. These archives can be massive collections of millions of photos and may belong to private companies, government or military organisations.
